In practice of course it is thick metal and so the chances of this happening are very remote, but it is nevertheless worth bearing in mind, because for certain types of use it is simply not a good idea to use a stored pressure fire extinguisher.
On the flip side, the maintenance costs and procedures associated with stored pressure fire extinction equipment tends to be much lower. So in practice it tends to be the case that this is the more common option that businesses will take when they are weighing up their options and deciding which one they should go for in the way of fire extinction equipment for their premises.
