STIHL Cordless Pole Pruner – HTA 50

The first cordless pole pruner available in the STIHL AK System, designed specifically for homeowners. With a length of 280 cm it makes light work of thinning out shrubs, pruning fruit trees or removing dangerous branches in the garden, all from the safety and comfort of the ground.
Easy controls and a rubberised grip on the handle tube allow for a comfortable working stance and good control whilst cutting. The shaft splits in half for easy transport, and a storage bracket is included meaning the STIHL HTA 50 can be stored tidily on your garage or shed wall.

The chain is driven directly by the motor in the cutting head. This provides excellent torque for reliable cutting performance, and also cuts down on weight and vibration thanks to the absence of a drive shaft. The branch hook is ideal for pulling down smaller branches suspended in the tree canopy so you can clear the way for pruning other branches. The chain oil tank has a handy inspection window to keep an eye on the oil level. You should check this every time the battery is recharged and top it up as necessary. Finally, the side-mounted chain tensioner makes looking after the guide bar and chain easy, as all that’s required is a flat head screwdriver or the tool supplied with the machine.

The ASA 20 has 2 blade opening widths, facilitating ideal adaptation to the cutting task at hand. This makes it possible for you to achieve faster progress when cutting a lot of thinner branches, for example. The easy-to-read OLED display of the ASA 20 battery-powered pruning shears gives you an overview of the battery charge level, the selected blade opening width and the total number of cuts made. The integrated on-board tool means that while you are working you can carry out simple maintenance tasks on the spot, such as adjusting the blade clearance. The included blade guard prevents contact with the blades during transport and storage of the ASA 20 battery-powered pruning shears.

The STIHL HTA 135 cordless pole pruner supports professional users in tree care, orchards and local authorities very efficiently when pruning trees, removing dead wood and breakage from storms, and pruning fruit trees. The most powerful cordless pole pruner in the STIHL range is also ideal for caretakers, small businesses, farmers and property and garden owners.

The particularly rigid telescopic shaft of the HTA 135 enables quick length adjustment and exact positioning, thus enabling precise cutting of even higher trees. The telescopic shaft can be extended up to a length of 405 cm, the total length of the tool ranges from 285 cm to 405 cm. This telescopic chainsaw from STIHL will allow you to reach even treetops up to a height of around 5 m for thinning work. You can use the HTA 135 with 3/8″P and 1/4″P STIHL saw chains, ensuring maximum cutting performance.

The lightweight magnesium transmission with a cast-on, robust branch hook and the high-quality EC motor of the cordless telescopic pruning saw work quietly and generate only few vibrations. This makes working with the professional pole pruner very convenient. The easy-to-clean air filter in the electric motor ensures optimal motor cooling and as such a long service life for your power tool. The STIHL HTA 135 cordless pole pruner features the robust STIHL base for the HTA 135 and HLA 135 as standard, which protects the motor housing and battery from contact with the ground. A STIHL Smart Connector 2 A can be retrofitted to the motor housing as an option to transfer important power tool data to your smartphone or tablet.

All cordless power tools within the STIHL AP system have been designed for professional users and daily work, even in adverse weather conditions. With that in mind they are certified as splashproof. The effectiveness of this is also verified through demanding internal tests. The splashwater test is aligned with the IPX4 standard, among others.
